lyrics
A distant shadow, a fading memory
That exists to bring only torment.
A hideous dream, a life-long funeral
Cursed among these apparitions.
Forever bound to these visions
They repeat incessantly.
I would carve my eyes from their sockets
If it meant never seeing these mistakes again.
Marching toward the goal
In search of victory I sacrificed my soul
I have become that which I despise
Forever bound to these visions
They repeat incessantly.
I would carve my eyes from their sockets
If it meant never seeing these mistakes again.
Marching toward the goal
In search of victory I sacrificed my soul
I will not submit.
I refuse to die for your misguided virtues
Smoke and ash will fill the sky as the eternal conflict wages.
The sounds of suffering form an infernal cadence
I have lived through this before and nothing ever changes.
A dark and melodic record. An excellent release which is the culmination of the singles he has released this year. I am looking forward to hearing more from this amazing artist after he relocates. Arthedain

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
