lyrics
There is no grace to be witnessed
No ascension to be blessed
Only the barren words of man
Echoing throughout these infinite cells
Promising to cure you of your ailments
And giving nothing in the end
Only addictions and cancer
An endless fountain of cash
Hear me as I call upon your name
Great bringer of destruction and pain.
I’ve watched the light drain from your eyes
You’re just a shadow of the past.
Crawling through the dirt and waste
Endlessly seeking some form of escape.
But we are all condemned to repeat
The failures we create each day.
A personal hell of banal existence
And reliving our greatest sorrows
Hear me as I call upon your name
Great bringer of destruction and pain.
This body is a curse, a casket wrapped in flesh
Content and satisfied with vacant ambience
Transmitting the plague of apathy
Ushering in a new wave of detachment
A dark and melodic record. An excellent release which is the culmination of the singles he has released this year. I am looking forward to hearing more from this amazing artist after he relocates. Arthedain

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74
